As part of the Community Activities at the College of Agriculture aimed at cooperative community work with agricultural institutions and serving the Palestinian agricultural community, on 21/6/2022 the Department of Plant Production hosted the Land Foundation for Development and its partners the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) and the International Peasant Federation (La Via Campesina movement) through a training workshop entitled ” Promoting agro-ecological approach “. Students and graduates were introduced to the Municipal Seed Bank in the UAWC and its importance in preserving Palestinian municipal varieties. It was also explained for participants how to apply for incentive grants to start their own entrepreneurial projects aimed at developing the agricultural sector.
