{"id":5452,"date":"2023-09-13T17:47:21","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T15:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/?p=5452"},"modified":"2023-09-13T17:48:26","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T15:48:26","slug":"a-workshop-for-introducing-smart-systems-for-agriculture-smart-agriculture-devices-at-ptuk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/?p=5452","title":{"rendered":"A workshop for introducing Smart Systems for Agriculture (Smart Agriculture devices)\u00a0at PTUK"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One of the main objectives of this project for (PTUK) involved in the application\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>of precision agriculture that helps Palestinian students, researchers, and farmers\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To increase the accuracy and efficiency of agricultural input applications and to\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>conduct research on the economic and environmental feasibility of the\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>precision farming technology that would promote this technology to be&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>accepted and adopted by farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"733\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-13-184410.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-13-184410.jpg 733w, https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-13-184410-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/benefit.edu.ps\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Screenshot-2023-09-13-184410-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Kadoorie Agricultural Research Center at Palestine Technical University \u2013 Kadoorie&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0organized a workshop on smart farming devices, including weather monitoring devices, plant diseases, and insects in the field, implemented by the center with LabTec for advanced\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solutions and the workshop targeted the staff of the College of Agriculture Science and Technology, the College of Applied Sciences, and the College of Engineering and\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Technology&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop introduced in full detail the modern smart systems for agriculture in\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;terms of smart weather and environmental monitoring stations, different types of&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0sensors for agriculture, meteorology, and the environment. Also, it covers virtual\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>meteorological stations in addition to weather forecasting stations and their use in&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;reducing agricultural risks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Moreover, this workshop covers the risks facing the agricultural sector in terms\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0of weather conditions, diseases, and insects and how to monitor, measure, predict,\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;control and reduce these risks. Modern methods of measuring the concentration of&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;ammonium and ammonia in the soil were also discussed for the purposes of fertilization.
