PERSONAL PROFILE:

  • I am Senior Research and Teaching Fellow in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), holding a PhD, a UK Higher Education Academy Fellowship (FHEA) and two Masters in “Information Communication Technologies (ICT) in Educational Studies”.
  • I have extensive teaching and research experience in five countries (UK, Greece, Cyprus, Palestine and Jordan) with 26 years of teaching experience as an Academic Teacher and Senior Researcher on the subject domain of ICT in Education. I have taught several undergraduate and MA courses related to Social and Critical-Constructivist Learning Theories, Andragogy and TEL Collaborative, e-learning and problem solving methodologies. In parallel teach Academic Reading and Writing, as well as Academic Skills not only to MEd students but also to university lecturers who need to advance their skills and get the chance to develop professionally.
  • My principal research interests lie in the field of e-learning (online and blended) under a critical-reflective
    perspective, with the use of problem solving and collaborative methodologies and the most emerging ICT tools, and Open Educational Resources (OER). All those interest exemplify the highest standard of academic, research and teaching excellence.
  • My managerial experience feeds into the coordination and leadership of many innovative EU and International
    projects. All those years of teaching and researching in the most state of the art institutions, I have gain an extensive network of international synergies across EU, UK and Middle East, and I am a member of several professional bodies.
  • Currently, I hold the position of the Senior Research and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Educational Science and Early Childhood Education at the University of Patras, in Greece. In parallel, I hold the position of the MA Course Leader and the Professor-Counselor at the Open University of Cyprus, on the one hand coordinating online course tutors and on the other hand teaching academic writing, reading and academic skills to MEd students. Moreover, I am working as a Project Manager in the Computer Engineering and Information Department (CEID) of the University of Patras, coordinating one Erasmus Plus Project and participating as Senior Researcher on three other projects.
    • I am also a Scientific Consultant at the Open University of Cyprus, responsible for the instructional design of an e-learning in-service adults ‘course and Visiting Senior Researcher, in the Business School of the University of Surrey.

(learning theories, methodologies, ICT tools). In parallel I hold the position of the Professor- Counsellor, teaching

  • 1991 – 2014:

Special Needs Educator and Headmistress of ‘Daou Pentelis’ Special Needs School, Athens Tutoring disabled students with state of the art methodologies and emerging technologies. Honor awarded by the Athens State Orchestra for the Innovation of my teaching in the pedagogical use and application of TEL in special education, Athens, 2009.
